Our Mission.

Our initial objective was to promote the fantastic television show called Firefly, surely the most underrated show of any genre in the last 10 years. Starring a band of unlikely heroes in what can only be described as a 'Western in Space', Firefly is a truly awesome show that engages with its viewers, has amazingly deep characters and has plotlines and dialogue that work on so many levels.

As a result of massive enthusiastic lobbying and overall support from the fans (aka Browncoats) U.I.P funded the film release of Serenity - which hit the big screen in late 2005 to large critical and public acclaim. However although almost everyone who has watched the show or movie have fallen in love with the characters and world created  by Joss Whedon, we are still striving to 'educate' those who haven't embraced this Browncoat lifestyle of ours... and tell them exactly what they're missing out on! Plus for all the existing fans out there, our aim is simple - help prove that Firefly and Serenity fans are amongst the most fashion-savvy fans around!!

Another aim was to work with other artists (digital and traditional) who were under the radar of many professional agencies and clients, artists who we believed had immense creative talent and that their work deserved to be appreciated by a wider audience. Mix in the fact that any commissions would help to raise the show's profile and generate funds for charities.... and it's easy to see why it was a great idea to team up.

So along with giving them some linkage elsewhere, we really wanted to reserve a bit of space here to say a huge THANK YOU to our commissioned artists (*drum roll*) Sonia, Sarah, Scott and Matt for their awesome skills, professionalism and for donating some of their time to the charities - we really do love you guys and wish you every success in the future. You all deserve it.

We are also active members of the UK Browncoats and help keep them flying and promoting the show, DVDs and film everywhere throughout the UK and beyond at events, functions and charity benefits.

Most importantly, we continue to donate money raised from the sale of shirts and merchandise to Equality Now - a favourite of Joss Whedon, along with other charities supported by the cast and the fans.

Our new target is to raise as much cash as possible for charity by the end of 2008 through online sales and some very special upcoming promotions, which along with the BIG DAMN DRAW will hopefully mean we can make a sizeable donation in the name of Browncoats Worldwide.

Thanks for the support.

Much love to everyone and keep flyin'.

The dull official blurb that hopefully keeps us cool with the powers that be.
FireflyStore is NOT officially authorised by Universal Pictures, Fox or any kind of bigshot suitman involved with Firefly or Serenity - although we'd like to think that most of the cast and crew are hopefully fans of our efforts. Having said that, no copyright infringement is implied or intended, therefore all imagery and graphics used are original creations and are to be treated as character likeness portraits. Firefly and all references contained within this site are owned by Fox Broadcasting Company and any related entities. References related to the movie Serenity are managed and owned by Universal Pictures. All rights from work of commissioned artists remains with Fireflystore and all artists retain intellectual copyright and our undying admiration and appreciation.

All power to Mutant Enemy, Joss Whedon and his cohorts Tim Minear, Dave Greenwalt and all the excellent crew and writers for making a mere 14 episodes and a Big Damn movie amount to a heck of a lot more. Oh yes and if you've made it this far reading the blurb, you deserve a gorram medal so we may as well remind you that profits from items are being donated to the charity Equality Now to help them fight the good fight. Yep, their logo is here for a reason and not just 'cos it looks nice. Although it is a nice design of course. So support us, support Equality Now and above all - be safe, happy, healthy and well-dressed in the 'Verse. Take care everyone.
